The Laminated HRR (Hardy Rand and Rittler) Standard Pseudoisochromatic Test, 4th Edition provides several very important features to provide the most advanced color vision test available: congenital and acquired testing, identification of the type of defect and diagnosis of the extent of the defect as well as quick positive classification of normals. The HRR employs a sophisticated test strategy that virtually eliminates the potential for memorization and malingering. The figures used by the HRR Pseudoisochromatic Plates are independent of language and suitable for both adults and children.

Special nonglare laminate has been tested using a spectrometer to insure the colors are unchanged. Helps avoid fingerprints and damage to the plates.

The HRR Pseudoisochromatic Plate Test 4th Edition supports very efficient color deficiency screening. The first four plates are used to show the patient how the test works. The fourth plate in this demonstration series has no figure and serves to potentially uncover attempts to memorize this test. The next six plates (screening series) present the most difficult protan, deutan and tritan (red, green, yellow, and blue) targets. Success with these plates defines the subject as having normal color vision and completes the test. The subsequent 14 plates are the diagnostic series and provide diagnostic as to the extent (mild, medium or strong) and type of defect (Protan, Deutan, Tritan).

he Randot Preschool Stereoacuity Test tests stereopsis from 800 to 40 seconds of arc on patients as young as two years of age. This StereoTest is designed as a matching game in which the patient matches the pictures on the left side with those on the right. To eliminate guessing, figures cannot be seen without viewing glasses.

Stereo depth-perception tests, such as the Stereo Fly, have proven to be an effective and easy-to-use method of screening vision for all ages. They help to identify vision problems and conduct stereopsis, amblyopia, suppression, and strabismus testing, each of which can impede a child’s development and performance.

Recognized as the standard for Stereo Depth Perception testing, the Stereo Fly allows for easy administration and evaluation of both gross and fine stereo vision. The LANG-STEREOTEST is an easy-to-use screening-test designed for early detection of problems with sterescopic vision in children. Two versions of the test plates are available, which differ only according to the 3D objects to be recognized. The LANG-STEREOTEST I displays a star, a cat and a car, while the LANG-STEREOTEST II displays a moon, a truck and an elephant, each of them appearing on a different level. In addition, the LANG-STEREOTEST II contains a star that can be seen with onli one eye.

The Distance Randot Stereotestis the ideal tool for the eyecare professional who deals with strabismus, amblyopia, and intermittent exotropia.  This test helps detect abnormalities in distance stereopsis and thus can give an earlier indication of the need for surgery.  This stereopsis test (10ft/3m) is for patients as young as 4 years of age.

• The Panel 16 Color Vision Test includes 16 test caps and 17 restriction rings with one of the caps being a pilot.

In some jurisdictions, Ishihara remains the required test despite superior results achieved with the HRR test. Occupational and Pediatric applications can jeopardize the cleanliness and longevity of any color tests as fingerprints are very damaging to the color inks. The Laminated Ishihara is intended to address these issues with a protective non-glare coating proven to leave the original ink colors unchanged. This protects the Ishihara color test for many years of use. Further, we have used the same spiral binding used on our HRR book to permit presentation of "one plate at a time".

Frisby Stereo Tests measure a wide range of stereo acuity in true 3D, even when acuity is poor, and without the need for dissociating glasses. The test’s simple concept means that infants as young as 8 months can understand and comply with looking or reaching for the target.

The full Frisby Stereotest comprises three transparent plates of different thicknesses, 6mm, 3mm and 1.5mm in a storing box which has a fold-out flap for providing a clear background against which the plates are presented. The stereo-acuity measured ranges from 600 to 5 seconds of arc.

The disparities for each plate at the 40-80cm viewing distance range are listed in the box lid and in the instructions booklet. A measuring tape is also provided.

The Frisby Pocket Stereotest comprises a 6mm plate in a pocket-sized case, convenient and easily transportable. A 3mm plate can be added extending the range of stereo disparities.

Farnsworth 100 Hue Color Test
